Candidates to hold information session in Rancho Cucamonga
Candidates for San Bernardino County sheriff and one of the court's judicial seats will host an information session Thursday in Rancho Cucamonga to discuss GPS monitoring of violent felons. Paul Schrader, a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy running for sheriff, and Ed Montgomery, a family law attorney, will host the session beginning 6:30 p.m. at the Rancho Cucamonga Community Center, 11200 Base Line.
The two men plan to discuss their proposals to increase GPS monitoring of certain felons and allow victims of domestic violence to track their whereabouts.

Update March 26, 2010: Judge Lorna Alksne - Supervising judge of San Diego's Family Court, agreed to view a demonstration of GPS victim notification devices. She is the first Family Court judge in the state to do so.
The demonstration will be on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
